Behind its blind facade after pushing open the carved wooden door, you discover an old historical residence completely restored and comfortable. You will taste the magic of the medina of MARRAKECH.
The DAR KAOTAR house is very large: a ground floor opening onto a patio, a floor with a gallery and a three-level terrace.
You will appreciate the calm and rest, the mint tea ceremony, sunbathing on the terrace. You will listen to the rustles of outdoor life.
The walls of the ryad are covered with period enamelled mosaic tiles (ZELLIGES) and TAD LATKE, a typical local “marrakech red ocher” coating. In the middle of the patio a fountain gives a beneficial freshness.
On the ground floor there is a vaulted kitchen, and two large bedrooms. By two staircases you reach the first floor where there are two large bedrooms, one of which has a ceiling of more than 5 m 30 and a very large living room with two domes and fireplace.
A last staircase leads to the terraces on three levels , surrounded by gates and railings in Moorish ironwork.
Easy to access, which is rare in the medina, the ryad is 100 meters from a guarded car park, from the Bad HILANE gate (or AYLANE) and the ramparts that surround MARRAKECH.
