Surrounded on two sides by high arcaded galleries, the Berber riad is a perfect example of the architectural tradition of the great residences of Marrakech.
The large living room occupies the southern facade of the garden. Its cedar ceiling, built in “keel” like the roofs of mosques and marabouts, has a painted decoration with very old motifs. A pyramidal roof of earth and lime protects it directly from bad weather, because the living room of the riad does not have a floor.
The riad, the garden itself, is divided into four parterres as tradition dictates. In the center, sheltered by trees, orange trees, olive trees and banana trees, a pool of filtered water invites you to swim during the hot hours.
