PALAZZO DESDEMONA

At the gates of the medina, a few meters from the port and the beaches, the Palazzo Desdemona has been proudly enthroned for more than 50 years.
Former shed and residence of wealthy merchants from Essaouira, the house which dates of the 18th century was transformed into a boutique hotel in the middle of the 20th century by its current owner.
Quickly popular with the most famous artists and intellectuals of the time such as Orson Welles and Rita Hayworth, who fell in love of this authentic and comfortable building, the Palazzo Desdemona quickly established itself as the cultural stopover of the blue city.
