The Gharnata Palace covers an area of 2000m².
< br/>Old residence built in the 16th century, belonging to the right arm of the Pasha of Marrakech in 1920 then bought and transformed into a restaurant by the late Moulay Ahmed El Amrani.
< br/>Fifty years of continual and incessant efforts were necessary for him, and his Heirs who are the current owners, to maintain this precious jewel in all its brilliance while preserving its worldwide fame. The Gharnata Palace is located between the Bahia Palace, the prefecture of the medina and the Dar Si Said museum, an essential and strategic location, visited by thousands of tourists. Floors, walls, pillars and door are the result of handcrafted work in carved and painted cedar wood , mosaics chiseled and treated in seven colors, powder stucco, marble and gypsum. All according to the canons of Arabic geometry.
< br/>Moroccan cuisine is our specialty. You can start with a pastilla, melting pigeon and crunchy almonds in a crispy dough, then let yourself be intoxicated by the great wine of Morocco, or by the aroma of tender roast lamb with herbs.
< br/>Will you be seduced by the color of a light Cabernet, or by the ineffable flavor of a tajine cooked on embers?
