I am Said Hadioui, born 09/13/1988 in the village of Amezrou in southern Morocco in a Sahrawi family. I am the fourth of nine children. From the age of 10, I began my work in tourism by braiding small animals with palm leaves that I sell at the doors of the hotels in my village. I follow the excursions departing from Amezrou, always to try to place my little inexpensive souvenirs. I learn French by offering free tours to tourists (tipping is always accepted).
I offer my help to guide camels and I become a camel driver at 14 years old. I ask the 4X4 drivers to let me know the desert from Zagora to Chigaga in 2002. I discover the tracks and I start to cook to be able to accompany the groups during excursions organized by hotels which call on my services. Thanks to the contact with many groups, I also learn fluent English, Italian, Spanish and a few words in Japanese, German…
Little by little, I created my professional network and built an agency project for my family. It was in 2008 that CARAVANE – nomadic wonders opened in Amezrou and invites you to discover traditional Morocco in my company. I assure you organization, stewardship and atmosphere (I am nicknamed radio-desert).
My brother, Mustafa Hadioui, assists me during excursions, and takes care of various recurring tasks such as setting up tents, preparing meals, and various tasks, in order to free us time to fully enjoy the excursion.
