Riad Dar TIMTAM was built in 1876 by Mr Ali Mesfioui Minister of Justice of His Majesty Sultan Moulay Hassan I.
In 1938, it was sold by the heirs of Mr Mesfioui to Mr Haj Boubker Bentaiebi called TimTam, one of the great grandsons of a caïd from Saraghina and one of the notable merchants of Marrakech. He renovated it, sculpted it, decorated it by the maâlams of various disciplines who transformed it into a residence of a typically prodigious Arabo-Moorish style, and for that it will serve him as a privileged place to welcome his guests until his death on May 1, 1977.
Currently, the Timtam family has a passion to keep the spirit of their original home alive by opening it to visitors. Recently transformed into a guest house with 3 royal suites and an authentic Moroccan restaurant.
Being a guest within Riad Dar TimTam, you feel bewitched by the Moroccan lifestyle.
