Tourism in Morocco is booming – beach vacations are increasingly popular, and ancient cities in the south are attracting increasingly adventurous and/or cultural travellers. One such authentic town is Taroudant, strategically located in the Souss Valley, where Dar Omaima opened in 2009.
Taroudant is also known as little Marrakech, but is smaller and not yet overrun by mass tourism. The markets, squares and streets of the old town are still as they were in the glorious past.
Dar Omaima is ideally located within the golden medieval walls that completely surround Taroudant. Palais Salam, the former magnificent palace of the sultans, and the city center with Place Assarag and the souks are easily accessible on foot.
Dar Omaima has 8 spacious rooms with private shower and toilet, free wifi and a magnificent roof terrace.
