Located inside the ramparts of the Medina of Marrakech, in the quiet and authentic district of Sidi Ben Slimane, where Averroes lived in the 12th century, the riad Irène is a 15-minute walk from the square Jemma El Fna, 7 minutes from the souks, the Medersa Ben Youssef and the Museum of Marrakech and 10 minutes from the splendid Majorelle Gardens. A taxi rank and a car park outside the ramparts are a 2-minute walk away.
The riad (which means “house-garden”) is composed of a patio with trees where you can cool off near the fountain and around which the different rooms are organized: 5 air-conditioned bedrooms each with a large comfortable bed for 2 people and an adjoining bathroom, a b’hou (Moroccan living room), a living-dining room, a kitchen and an office.
The panoramic terrace allows you to admire the city and, in the distance, the Atlas and invites you to relax thanks to its sun-beds and its two lounges, one under the pergola, the another under the Berber tent. You can also take your meals there (up to 10 people).
A competent staff is at your disposal to ensure you have a pleasant stay: Zakia for the kitchen, room service and maintenance, Abdou for the guarding and maintenance.
