CÔTÉ SUD is much more than a restaurant, it is an ambitious gastronomic and cultural project at the gates of the Moroccan desert.
The Ouarzazate region offers a privileged setting where the beauty of the natural environment of the desert, the spectacular Kasbah of Tifoultoute and the famous cinema studios nearby.
The gastronomic restaurant CÔTÉ SUD, central point of the project, is distinguished by its offer of the best fresh products, chosen and transported by us from their places of origin, kept and handled with the best guarantees of hygiene and impeccable service.
The CÔTÉ SUD project was designed and carried out by Barcelona architects Jordi Ros, now director of the School of Architecture de Barcelona (ETSAB) from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, and Jordi Sutrias, ETSAB professor.
CÔTÉ SUD is located at the top of a small hill on the Tifoultoute river. On a plot of 20,000 square meters, we have created an oasis of gardens with a wide variety of trees and a small landscaped lake.
In the center, and surrounded by a four-meter-high earthen wall in the style of traditional Moroccan constructions, is the 5,000 square meter complex which hosts not only the gourmet restaurant but also an exhibition hall, a live music space, a cinema screening room (curiously the only cinema in small Hollywood Moroccan!) and the Cooking School which contributes to the training of young people in the region while guaranteeing the continuity of our gastronomic offer and our demanding levels of quality. Our Fine Grocery allows us to distribute the products chosen by us to other restaurants in the region.
