Set on a beach in Sidi Kaouki, with a breathtaking view of the ocean, La Mouette (alias Patricia) welcomes you: a few blue deckchairs, parasols, a Berber tent, and a huge summer lounge sheltered from the wind: welcome to the café restaurant La Mouette et les Dromadaires… But if Patricia is the Seagull… Who are the Dromadaires? Customers, of course)
Discover a corner of paradise: a real beach restaurant! Here everything has been designed for comfort and relaxation: a Moroccan living room under the Berber tent, very comfortable sofas sheltered from the wind in the lounge area, deckchairs and coffee tables on the terrace, all facing the sea. ‘Ocean… you’ll be spoiled for choice when it comes to settling in!
As for the plate, Patricia offers you a slate of suggestions inspired by fishing and the daily market, a simple and effective sunny cuisine that varies according to seasonal produce.
Patricia’s philosophy: simple, fresh, organic, good! Salads from 60 dhs; on the slate, fish in all its forms from 110 Dhs: raw in carpaccio or tartare, steamed with smoked tea, crunchy and crispy, and of course simply grilled a la plancha… for those who prefer meat: small chops grilled lamb. On arrival on Thursday: Dakhla oysters and on order: lobster or lobster! Impossible to eat a fresher sea bream than the one just picked up in the nets of Sidi Kaouki fishermen and cooked immediately!
Foodies rejoice, pancakes, cakes and homemade fruit clafoutis share the spotlight for dessert, afternoon tea, or “snacks” during the day.
For Patricia and her team, quality comes first: generous salad, grilled meat or fish, not to mention the fruit juices and cocktails, everything is prepared to order for optimum freshness.
