CASA RURAL

It is an old rural house on a farm on the outskirts of the city of Tetuán, about 15 minutes from the center, but in the middle of nature. It is one of the few that remains, like this around here.
It is located in the Yebel Gorgues in the Haus mountain range belonging to the Rif mountain range on the way to a waterfall and a natural pool with a river of crystal clear waters called Zarka.
From the farm you can go out to do several very beautiful hiking trails, almost always following a river and if it is not entering the mountain in some canyons, gorges or caves since the location of the farm is at the foot of the mountain.
The routes can be done assisted by some donkeys that will be the ones that will take us all things such as cameras, clothes, water or soft drinks, food and if someone is tired at the end, they could come mounted.
It is one of the few vegetable farms that remain from the Andalusians. First settlers of these lands with agricultural culture.
Here we have tried to preserve the customs of our ancestors in the cultivation systems that until today still do not use any herbicide or insecticide or any other chemical product that could contaminate the land, the water and therefore the crops and in the end ourselves. Likewise, the cattle graze on the herbs that grow on the farm and at night they are given a contribution of barley, bran and water, which is very good for ruminating all night.
Apart from having fruit trees that if they are in season the fruit is delicious. Some olive trees for the consumption of the house in oil and table olives. The farm is crossed by a river of clean and crystal clear waters, the river divides the farm, the lower part is dedicated to cultivation and livestock and the upper part to the house, olive trees, almond trees and environmental education issues. The house has the possibility of being able to accommodate 8 people to sleep or a few more with a good disposition.
The rooms are typical Arab and there are no beds, they are Arab straw mattresses treated in the old fashioned way. Two services, the services and hygiene are European customary.
The floor is made of old hydraulic earthenware but it is covered by a carpet and on top of some sheep skins to give a better feeling when being in the room in winter.
