AGAFAY CAMP

Marrakech is a fascinating city that only a few hours from the largest European capitals offers you a total change of scenery and an exceptional sweetness of life. Its medina full of life, colors and a friendly population which contrasts with the district of GUELIZ and its modernity. But the most beautiful asset of Marrakech is still its surroundings. Indeed, within a radius of about forty kilometers, nature is unleashed to offer you a dazzling spectacle, generous with life and rich in emotions. The Atlas Mountains, very lush and refreshing, offer an immediate contrast with the AGAFAY desert. In a few hours, Morocco shows you its most beautiful faces and enchants you with happiness.
The Agafay desert is a mineral desert that extends over more than 20 km, an amazing microclimate at the foot of the Atlas chain whose climatic conditions are close to the Sahara. Here there are no sand dunes but a very soft rocky terrain with breathtaking landscapes, different lights all day long and snow-capped peaks including Toubkal in the background. You are only 40 km from Marrakech.
It is in the magical setting of the Agafay desert that we have set up our camp AGAFAY CAMP. On a plot of 10 hectares, the camp consists of two parts. At the top, the midday restaurant part which welcomes our passing guests. Downstairs the bivouac part welcomes you to live the unique experience of a night in the desert. Composed of 10 tents of 30m² each with inside king size bed, living room and separate bathroom with shower (hot water) and toilet, the camp remains intimate and respects everyone’s tranquility in the realization of their dream.
The decoration of the camp was carried out by Vincent JAQUET. A real invitation to travel, the theme of exploration is very present and the materials used have been chosen from local Moroccan craftsmanship and the diversion of objects from the everyday life of Moroccans. Vincent hunted many pieces of wood and iron in nature and used them in his decoration. Rock and pebbles are also very present and shades of brown are all represented.
Our chef, Mustafa, is delighted to work with the best products from the region and will give you a burst of flavor on your plates. We like to work with a permaculture farm close to the village (which you can visit) which harvests exceptional vegetables. On site you will be welcomed by our team from the Sahara (southern Morocco) whose obsession is to anticipate your needs and desires but above all to share this passion for the desert. Dinner is served in “the circle”, the common living space of the camp. The campfire, the candles, the sky of millions of stars everything is there to take you on an unforgettable journey.
We recommend that you spend two nights on the camp in order to fully appreciate this desert environment. On site, many activities are offered to you such as camel or horseback riding, quad biking, mountain biking, trekking, lunch with the locals, petanque… The bivouac is 14 km from Lake LALLA TAKERKOUST and we offer water activities such as canoeing & ; kayak, stand up paddle, jet ski, hoverboard, banana and pool lunch.
You will be amazed by our wellness area which offers on-site traditional hammam, relaxing and energizing massages and facials. Our team of beauticians only use products and ancestral techniques of Moroccan women. A real moment of relaxation and happiness.
