Siroua geographically massive :
Jebel Siroua culminates at 3305 m altitude, it is in the region of the Taliouine. This is a block of mountains that separates the High Atlas on the north from the Anti-Atlas on the south. Its mass is one of the most beautiful folds geography of Morocco. The narrow fertile valleys trace the paths of greenery and large pastures occupy the mountain slopes.
Siroua is known for its saffron production. Culturally, Siroua is a place of pilgrimage. The villages near the summit celebrate this once a year pilgrimage of young people sacrificing a sheep between the two humps of the summit for the Baraka of Siroua, which will keep the river water for the whole year. The variety of these reliefs is amazing alternately fragmented volcanic cliffs and trays provided by huge willow trees. Before the end of winter, almond trees are already in competition with the saffron fields and meadows. The villages are located on the edge of fields or forests, they are inhabited by native sedentary survivors of saffron cultivation and raising sheep and goats.
The women sheared the wool and created carpets with craftsmanship and inspiration from their surroundings.
