Among the historical places of Rabat, there is one that the visitor cannot ignore.
The Kasbah of the Oudayas founded in the 12th century as a base for the assembly of armies setting out to conquer Spain, then lair, with Salé, of the corsairs who in the 18th century engaged in the race at sea against Christian ships.
After a tumultuous history of which the old families of the Kasbah proudly claim the population, reputed to be rebellious, is very jealous of its particularity, the Kasbah of the Oudayas is now nothing more than a village of exceptional charm which offers itself generously to all the guests who come to visit it.
