Dogs bark. The caravan passes. What dogs? In the desert, you rarely see one, maybe you will meet one, near a well or an oasis. The adage is wrong. In the desert, the dogs don’t bark, they smile in the shade of the acacia trees…
The caravan carries, carries, loads, unloads. She leaves, she walks, stops and starts again. She sets up camp and then breaks it up. She lives, following the rhythm of the desert. And you live it more than you follow it. On foot or on the back of camels, the rhythm is that of the Berbers, your guides, your friends of the desert.
The caravan is flexible and will be established according to your desires and your projects.
In the desert, a birth has always more importance.
Youssef M’Hidi, nomad, was 10 years old when his nomadic Berber parents decided to settle in Amzrou. When you are born a nomad, you remain a nomad. The soul of the desert living in him, Youssef became a camel driver at the age of 15.
At 21, he was a guide in charge of many caravans and camel treks in the desert.
At 22, he created his own structure and launches into this adventure. February 1999 is a date worthy of a sand rose for him and for his family. He obtained the long-awaited license from the Moroccan government to start his business.
Since then, this small family company made up of Youssef, his brothers and his cousin has been working under the name Caravane Hamada Drâa.
