Through the centuries, the craftsmanship of Figuig has embodied Moroccan culture. Its reputation in leather and textile products dates back to the Middle Ages. This is also true for the manual products manufactured in the distant town of Figuig, where there is a population that has always known how to admire and value carpets, traditional clothing and exceptional quality embroidery work. To this day, the craftsmanship of Figuig represents a living heritage still practiced and even in constant development. Traditional working methods incorporated new materials, fibers and dyes. Likewise, the craftsmen have adopted modern trends in terms of colors and fashions in order to respond to an increasingly changing market.
