Zineb and Jean-Pierre chose to settle in Morocco more than 20 years ago, at the crossroads of the southern Atlas and Sahara valleys, in the territory of Ouarzazate, Together, Jean -Pierre and Zineb first built their own gîte, a traditional house in a village 5 km from Ouarzazate. They slowly restored this house where they invited their clients from treks and camel crossings to come and drink tea and eat couscous. Their friends suggested that they create one or two rooms to accommodate them rather than going to a hotel. This is how, year after year, their house with these few rooms has become a real guest house, like a caravanserai where camel drivers, guides, drivers and passing travelers meet.

At this day, the Dar Daïf kasbah offers comfortable accommodation with a harmony between the warmth of collective spaces and the intimacy of private spaces. from 3 days to several weeks and even over several months. The team of the Desert and Mountain Morocco agency has thus been built over the years for more than 25 years: guides, mule drivers, camel drivers, inhabitants of the high valleys of the Atlas, the coast, or in the heart of the desert. . Some of them are geologists or ethnologists, others are nomads, cooks, farmers, fishermen, drivers, all motivated to make their country loved by guests and passing visitors. The long experience of the Desert and Mountain Morocco team has led them to cross all of Morocco on foot, from Nador to Mauritania, all of the Atlas from Fez to Essaouira via the Atlas ridges and valleys, all of Anti Atlas of Saghro and Siroua, the Atlantic coast.

They were the precursors of these great crossings of Morocco. From these adventures and thousands of kilometers traveled on foot, they share today the fruit of their knowledge of Morocco, its territories, its populations, its traditions, all these emotions encountered along the way, strong and sincere, in the footsteps of great caravans of yesteryear.
