KTI was founded in 1972 by Mohamed Benamour, who was the first to create a tour operator on Moroccan soil. From his professional experience in Morocco and then in the United States, the president of KTI has retained a few fundamentals that will mark the destiny of his company: to innovate constantly, to be bold, without ever neglecting rigor. A pioneer in the tourism sector and a great visionary, Mohamed Benamour has surrounded himself with a team of experienced professionals, and has always made sure to keep control of his activities, thus guaranteeing his customers the best quality of service. In 1975, he founded his own transport company, KTT (Kasbah Tours Transports) then ten years later, the company KTH (Kasbah Tours Hotels), took over the management of several hotels.
In 1995, he bought two of the most prestigious hotels in the kingdom: the Hassan Tower in Rabat and Les Mérinides in Fez, under the group’s label, “Palaces & Traditions”, then built Le Berbère Palace in Ouarzazate. Mr. Benamour is the founder in 1995 of the FNT (National Federation of Tourism) which brought together and federated all the professions of the hotel & tourism. He is also the precursor of the development and implementation of the Vision 2010 tourism strategy, of which he was a signatory of the Framework Agreement in 2001 with the Government. He is also co-author of a book entitled “The Royal Voice, the Moroccan model in the new tourism economy”, which traces the main stages of the design and implementation of this vision.
